Engineered stones, such as quartz, are not recommended for areas with direct UV ray exposure or in areas with temperature volatility as these effects can cause irreparable damage. Proper care and maintenance should be considered during material selection as well. 

 

Quartz products can typically handle temperatures up to 200 degrees. Anything higher than that can potentially scorch the polymers and pigments in the material.
